Because this is Thursday's post and because it is currently Saturday morning and I still haven't finished it, I decided to spruce up what I recall to be a nice, yet uneventful day with something. My something-a Haflinger on a farm in Millstadt, Illinois. I took this last year when Audrey's
4-H club went there on a field trip. Mr. Clemmons, the owner of the farm, had a huge collection of antique horse-drawn farm machinery. The girls got to go on buggy rides and they learned quite a bit.
Day four of my assignment, day four of no school due to the ice and snow. Thursday. Thursdays are the equivalent of December 23rd. The anticipation of what is to come!
I'm hoping so hard that school is called off tomorrow! Actually, if a local district is called off, then Audrey's homeschool workshops will be canceled and that means if Ava has school, I can leave Audrey with my in-laws and go on Ava's field trip to the Magic House. That is a complicated series to follow. Oh well, tomorrow's plans remain a surprise for now.
The sun is out, but it is extremely cold. What to do today...
Today was a bit ho hum. I made a roast and had my folks over for dinner. Eric came home after they had already left. He had two late afternoon meetings in which he might have drank 8 beers in 4 hours. He might have annoyed me quite a bit as well.
From Eric's mouth- All the men at the meeting had beards. Eric thinks this is the funniest thing in the world. He said it was a beard summit. Over a lot of beer. The End.
The picture of the horse is the best part of this post.
