Prairie Day 2010




Prairie Day is:


A celebration of prairie heritage on a prairie at Shaw Nature Reserve.


Holding a variety of snakes and learning more about them.

Being surprised by your husband with a special gift made by the blacksmith.

Homemade lemon meringue pie.


Pony rides!


Learning how the Native Americans used plants to make fishing line (and a lot of other things).


Working with native plants the way the Native Americans did.


Making hand dipped candles.

Learning how to use tools to make arrowheads.

Making an actual arrowhead.
