Too Blessed to be Stressed

I think my mom is right. Oh, goodness. And if she is, then what? I don't know what to do.

A couple of weeks ago, my mom and I had a conversation about some problems I was having. She said, "I think your stressed." I immediately brushed her comment aside. I am not stressed. No way. I would know IF I was stressed out. Then- from my mom, "Remember when I had my perforated ulcer? I didn't think I was suffering from stress either." I most definitely remember her emergency surgery.

This morning I woke up with my contacts in my eyes for the second time in three days. I forgot to take them out? Again? This NEVER happens. And then it does two out of three days? Where is my brain?

I decided that I am, in fact, stressed out. I shouldn't be though. How can I be? I am very blessed. How can a blessed woman suffer from stress? I don't deserve to be stressed. Stress is for people who lead super busy lives that are filled with obligations and who are surrounded by horrible people. I try and lead a pretty chill life with people who aren't overly high maintenance and drama filled. So what is my problem? How do I fix it?

I did what everyone does. I Googled it. I already exercise. I even run. Now: happy thoughts, long baths, aromatherapy, and a happy place to envision? Most of this sounds quite stupid to me. I will keep exercising. I think I'll try and delegate some chores to my family members. I need to force myself to take weekends away. I'm hoping that I can make some healthy changes and that these changes bring about healthy results. I will be my own personal cheerleader...Go Kim We'll see.
