2006, Life on August 18th

Audrey: "Mom, what's a Bloody Fairy?" How cute is that?! Or is it gross? She meant Bloody Mary. Maybe I'll create a Bloody Fairy drink in honor of her humorous question. Halloween isn't that far off. Oh, I've given myself a project!

Audrey is starting kindergarten on Monday. Wow. It's only 1/2 day. I can deal. She will learn. Life will begin earlier from now on until May. I like mornings-a lot. Only just when I'm ready to start morning. I'll be forced to start it 6:30ish. I am not a super scheduley type person. We eat when we're hungry and sleep when we're tired. Clocks don't really play a factor. I always hear that kids love schedules and knowing what to expect. Maybe not knowing what to expect can be good too? Have I ruined two perfectly sweet little girls with my inability to conform to a life in time slots?

Yesterday was my birthday. It was lovely. Hubby and I ditched the girls (something we rarely do) with Auntie Boo and Uncle Jim. We went to the Botanical Garden and saw (more like experienced) the Chihuly exhibit. It was really great. It was surprising and beautiful and I'm officially inspired. I think we'll have to take the girls there before it ends.

I'm sure there is more to say, it's just that my little one is stinky so I must fix that quick!
