We were blessed with a late snow fall on March 26, 2011. I took some pictures early in to it. We actually ended up with quite a bit of snow. It completely covered the hyacinths and daffodils.
It was a heavy, wet snow. That night, the girls built a fort in the front yard and I built a fire.
Daffodils and forsythias are my favorite forms of yellow.
Oh, the tulip tree. Despite the buds recently being encased in ice, it still made lovely blooms. The snow wasn't as kind though.
My precious coneflower. The purple flowers are nice enough, but take away the frills and it is just as pretty- maybe even more so without the distractions of its purposeful beauty.
frozen bits of cloud
slanted falling to the ground
blanketing color
you get big snow piles
make them round flatten them down
hollow out the mound
The End.
