Day one, 2010

Well, I kind of tossed the idea around to make a conscious effort to write everyday. No matter how tired or bored I am. No matter if my day was sucky and boring and generally unsuccessful. I COULD force myself to write something. Anything. But, what really is the point in that? I much prefer to write stories, and while I hope that everyday of this new year has a good story, I don't know if I'll feel inclined to document it.

So, this is day one, of 2010. Mellow and relaxing is how I would describe it. Because it seems every year when a holiday or event rolls around, we always look back at the previous year and just can't quite remember what we did for New Year's, our anniversary, ... I am going on record to say what we did "the previous year". New Year's Eve 2009- spent at my mom and dad's house with the Walegas, Mark King, Julie, and her son Aaron. I didn't have a single drink, ate steak and I scored the last chocolate chip gooey butter brownie cake from Dierbergs. Super yum. We boxed on the Wii and spent the night.

Went to the city to recycle and ran some errands. Evening-fire and The Hangover. Our kitchen is in the middle of a super duper paint job. Like 17 coats of cherry cobbler! Maybe it will be done tomorrow... Have to wait and see if my BIL will be over. I'm really loving our house these days. It has never felt so cozy.
